Dr. Joshua Bezanson, MD, MS, BJourn, ACP, FP-C Joshua Bezanson is the disaster medicine coordinator for the Dept. of Emergency Medicine at the University of Alberta. He is a practicing emergency and hyperbaric medicine physician in Edmonton, Alberta with a special interest in prehospital care and transport medicine. He also works as a transport physician with STARS Air ambulance and as a planning section chief with Canada Task Force 2, Alberta’s all-hazards disaster response team. He has been deployed to multiple major disasters and worked in various incident management team positions. His research interests include mass casualty triage, hazardous materials response and the social impacts of disaster. He recently co-authored a national position paper on hospital disaster preparedness that was endorsed by multiple professional associations. Following emergency medicine residency he completed a fellowship in EMS and prehospital care and holds a Masters in Disaster Medicine and Management from Thomas Jefferson University.
Grayson Cockett, MADEM, AEM, EMT-P, MCpl Grayson is a Healthcare Disaster Manager with a background in Public Safety, and Emergency Medical Services. He is a member of Canada Task Force 2, and a soldier with the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves.
