Biography

Alex Fullick has been working in the BCM and Resilience industry for over 26 years, an author of eight books, an award-winning Business Continuity Management professional, and the globally followed podcast host and creator of the VoiceAmerica Talk Radio Network show ‘Preparing for the Unexpected’, as well as a YouTube channel of the same name. Alex aims to increase Business Continuity Management and Resilience awareness and reducing the suffering and impacts that can be caused by disasters and crises to help every person, organization, and community, prepares for, respond to, and overcome, adverse situations. Alex is also currently a Certification Commissioner for the Disaster Recovery Institute Canada (DRIC).

Biography

James Green is an advocate of intelligent risk taking, driven by the belief that risk can be a powerful tool to help organizations reach their maximum potential. James uses the breadth of his experience to help C-Suite figures address the rapidly evolving risks that shape the world today. James has spent much of his career within the financial services sector, helping firms navigate turbulent circumstances and achieve operational excellence. James has also aided in risk management efforts across the globe from civil unrest during the Arab Spring, to typhoons in the Pacific Rim. Most recently he spent three years with SAI Global, as Director of Risk Advisory Services. Across his career he has also held leadership titles within risk and asset management at PSCU, Sykes Enterprises and CIT, helping build departments that have a broadened, informed, and clear view of risk. Currently, he is the co-founder of Illuminate Advisory, which inspires organizations through thought-leadership, strategic partnerships, and hands-on guidance to harness the power of risk. He is one of the global co-founders of the Resilience Think Tank, which provides guidance and research to the global risk industry. James is a risk management thought leader and brings resilience insight into the public conversation. He has been interviewed by many publications, such as the Disaster Recovery Journal and the BBC, and in 2020 was named the Business Continuity Institute’s (BCI) Continuity and Resilience Consultant of the Americas – the first to be awarded this twice. James holds the MBCI designation from the Business Continuity Institute, is a designated Registered Practitioner by the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Accreditation Body and is a recognized Enterprise Risk Management Expert by the Credit Union National Association.

Steve is an industry leader, presenter, change agent, and champion for diversity and empowerment. A seasoned global security executive with a reputation for delivering Fortune 100-500 companies’ infrastructure on a solid foundation of security, resilience, and adaptability. Over a long career spanning the globe, Steve has developed strategies for organizations to effectively safeguard information assets across enterprise ecosystems, while nurturing a cyber-aware culture for every employee and third-party relationship. Steve is well known for his strengths in leading organizations through complex change and disruptive events such as sophisticated cyberattacks, breach response, civil unrest, and natural or man-made disasters. Organizations served include CISO at Mad Mobile; Vice President, Head of Global Security, Sitel Group; Senior Director, Global Security Operations at Sykes among others.

John Liuzzi

Biography

John has over 30 years of management experience in both the public and private sectors. He is an experienced company President, C-Level executive, and U.S. Congressional appointee who possesses an outstanding combination of business acumen and technology expertise. He has over 25 years of Business Continuity experience which includes directing the response efforts for many major disaster events. John is currently the National Director of Business Continuity for Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits, directing the continuity program for the world’s pre-eminent distributor of wine and spirits. For his work in this role, John was recently awarded Southern Glazer’s highest Special Achievement Award for his outstanding efforts in building the enterprise Business Continuity program. In addition, John and his team have been nominated for and selected as finalists for the prestigious Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) Program Leader of the Year and Team of the Year awards. John’s experience also includes being appointed to three terms of office by a special act of United States Congress to support the multi-billion-dollar modernization program at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service (IRS). During this time, he directed the IRS’s Joint Operations Center, and the Cyber Security Incident Response and Emergency Operations Centers. He also built the IRS’s Disaster Recovery, Security Risk Management, and Critical Infrastructure Protection programs.

Margaret Millett

Biography

Margaret Millett, MSc Business Continuity, FBCI (Hon), MBCP has been actively involved in the business continuity field for many years and has worked for financial services companies in Boston and Dublin. She worked for eBay in California for 6 years prior to moving to North Carolina in 2014. She currently works for Uber Technologies, Inc. as the Head of Global Resilience. Margaret has held board levels positions with business continuity organizations, written publications and spoken at business continuity management conferences in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. In 2011, Margaret was awarded an MSc. in Business Continuity from Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont with honors. She is certified as an MBCI and an MBCP. Affiliations include: The BCI, Continuity Insights (CI) Editorial Advisory Board, Disaster Recovery Journal Editorial Advisory Board, Business Continuity Professionals of the Carolinas, DRI International and is a member of the US Technical Advisory Group to ISO Technical Committee 292. In 2015, 2018 & 2022, she was nominated for a global award within her profession by the BCI. In 2019, she joined the BCI’s Women in Resilience (WIR) Global Committee. In 2019, the BCI awarded Margaret Honorary Fellowship. Margaret received the BCI Americas Award for Continuity and Resilience Contributor 2022. She was a 2023 DRII Lifetime Achievement Award nominee.

Daniela Parker

Biography

Daniela Parker is a risk management professional with over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Currently serving as the Chief Risk Officer for Resource One Credit Union in Dallas, TX, she manages various areas such as Enterprise Risk Management, Information Security, Collections, Internal Audit, Compliance, Business Continuity Planning, Fraud and Financial Investigations, and Vendor Management. After beginning her career with US Bank, Daniela joined credit unions as a Branch Manager for TwinStar Credit Union in Olympia, WA. She held multiple positions over an 18 years there, from Division Manager and AVP Branch Operations to Chief Risk Officer. She joined Resource One Credit Union in August of 2022, relocating to Texas. Daniela is a Certified Business Continuity Professional (DRI) and holds CUNA’s Credit Union Enterprise Risk Management Expert Certification. Additionally, she earned a Master of Science Degree in Business Continuity, Risk, and Security from Boston University. Daniela has delivered presentations at prestigious events such as MIT’s Advanced Business Resiliency Program and is a class facilitator in Boston University’s Graduate Risk Management Program.
